Nicaragua Welcomed Survivor!

Survivor NicaraguaNicaragua was chosen as the location for Emmy Award-winning reality TV series Survivor back in 2010. Shooting first began around the popular coastal city of San Juan del Sur. Nicaragua's favorable climate and spectacular natural beauty helped lead to the selection. "The show marked the arrival of Nicaragua as the emerging tourism destination in the region," said Javier Chamorro, Executive Director of PRONicaragua. The program highlighted Nicaragua's pristine landscape, wildlife and culture, and brought it direct to 13 million weekly viewers. Nicaragua's Pacific coast has drawn international attention for its world-renowned beaches, surfing, and its first-class tourism developments.
